Christmas Shopping 2015!

I did it!  I finished my Christmas shopping!  And, obviously, with that came a vlog.  🙂

And since I didn’t have the chance to finish the blog post I was writing, I thought I’d post it today.

It’s the last vlog I’ll do with my crappy camera, so hopefully any future ones will be much better quality!  🙂

  1. 1) The Christmas song that Sarah loves is my favorite too! I worry that people will think that’s dorky. 2) What’s a yankee gift swap? 3) Oh man, Starbucks coffee. I got a secret sister gift card in the mail and I got to splurge on their pumpkin spice. It was $5 but I loved every sip even more cuz it was a gift card. 4) Brady with the bucket on his head–my favorite!! lol!

    1. #1. I will tell Sarah that she’s not alone! There are others that share her favorite Christmas song!! 🙂 #2. Yankee swap is how big families out here still do presents, when we can’t afford to buy for everyone. 😉 My extended family does it. We all bring a wrapped gift (usually the gift limit is $25) and place it under the tree. Then we pick numbers. The person with number one gets to pick the first gift and unwrap it. The second person picks a gift, unwraps it, and can choose to either keep their gift or switch it with the first person. The third person gets to choose from two people, and so on. My family is pretty good at it, so there’s a healthy mix of gift cards, men’s gifts, and women’s gifts. And we usually end up with pretty good gifts. 🙂 #3. Gotta love Starbucks! #4. Brady is such a funny little guy. He cracks me up ALL the time! 🙂

  2. Sarah and I are soulmates…that rendition of Last Christmas is HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE. ANNNDD that chai oolong is SO GOOD OMG! I love your no shame vlogging in the mall…I want to start vlogging haha. Also, I do the same when I’m getting excited for waffles.

    1. You’re the second person who absolutely loves the song ‘Last Christmas’! I think Sarah is going to be SO excited about this!! 🙂
Hmmm, your vlogs would be awesome! 🙂 Can I make a hiking vlog request?!? Ha, ha. And, yes, I have absolutely no shame. 😉 I mean, if it’s really busy, then I won’t do it, because I’m really cautious about annoying people or coming across as rude. BUT if it’s not too busy, or if I’m in a quiet aisle, you’d better believe that I’ll whip out the camera. 😉 My husband used to be so embarrassed by my ability to take out my camera in the middle of a store… but he’s gotten used to it. Ha, ha. (Now, he even surprises me by saying, “Wait, aren’t you going to take a picture of that?!?”).

  3. Someone got a shoutout! 😉

I love Brady’s blue sweater, by the way. And his way of working that bucket on the ol’ noggin. Hilarious!

Is Nate reading The Forgotten? Looks like it. I read the beginning and it was so good (before I realized that it was #2 and I had never read #1 haha).

    1. Not gonna lie… I had a major chocolate crisis yesterday, so I ate four Hershey Kisses in a row. I figured that I was close enough to Christmas… 😉 Thank you for saving the day!
YES, Nate is reading ‘The Forgotten’. 🙂 We’re both fans of the author!

  4. HA! I love you waving at the camera in the mirror in the mall! Precious! Totally something I would do! 🙂 Which version of Last Christmas was that? It was hard to tell. I like the Taylor Swift version too, but my favorite is the Savage Garden version!

One of my friends has a turning tree stand like that! It’s so neat! I’m totally with you on not decorating the back of the tree since it doesn’t show. 😉

I love that blue kitchenaid! I have a white one and it’s awesome! It was my mother-in-law’s and she never used it so she just gave it to me one year. One of my favorite gifts! 🙂

I am so pro leaving Christmas lights up year round! I love all Christmas decorations, but the lights are especially my favorite! 🙂

    1. You know, I don’t even know who sings that version of ‘Last Christmas’. It’s the oldest version I’ve heard… Maybe the original singers? Now I’m curious, and I need to find this out! Ha, ha.
Aren’t kitchenaids the best? Nate had surprised me with mine a few years ago, and now I don’t know if I could bake without it! 🙂
Oh, I know, Christmas lights are SO cozy! Here in New England, some of the older colonials leave white lights in their windows (the candles) all year, because it matches the olden-day appearance. I SO wish we could do that! 🙂 I have tried to find some cozy lighting for my house to mimic it, at least. It’s so much comfier feeling than bright lamps or overhead lights.
